Looks like the Coca Cola company is trying to steal Red Bull the show. Never heard of Relentless so far but they are doing amazing films and documentaries about surfing, skating, snowboarding and music.

The skateboard film festival will take place at Seattle, Washington from 14th to 16th August. The extended deadline is June 15, 2009. So there`s not much time left if you want to take part. But besides that they put up a really nice website where you can have a look at the submissions already made. Looking forward to see more when the Festival starts!

Finaly I am back to good cold germany but i already miss the daily surf sessions. Good to know that the swell height was always below 4.5 feet since i am back, while it was never below 5ft when i was there. When I came back a friend sent me a link to this crazy skateclip on youtube, right now i was checking thomas campbells homepage for news about his new film "the present" and found this in his blog - definitely crazy, creative and totally different ways of skateboarding.

Again skateboarding...but this one is so good i have to post it. Transworld Skateboarding started an event called "Skate & Create". Four teams had the chance to build their obstacles to produce unique pictures and footage in nine days in an old warehouse. DVS, GLOBE, OSIRIS and EMERICA were the Teams and all of them did a fantastic job! Creative and beautiful filming in a way you won´t see it normally! The Australian Surf/Skate company Insight has a great new campaign called "Dopamine". You can find one skate- and one surfmovie, a trailer and some pictures of the posters they did for the campaign. The skate-clip was filmed in Bali/Indonesia what makes it pretty interesting for all of you who went there for surfing. Why Dopamine you may ask..here you have their answer: "When you are attracted to someone your brain releases the drug dopamine giving the same reaction that one gets from thrill seeking, sex, music, humanitarianism, surfing and skating to name a few." - Dopamine and Insight website.

Something new on skateboard design. The "7 Laserdeck Skateboard Show" uses a laser to burn great design into a skateboards´ surface. Check the webpage as well as the flickr photostream.
